I spoke with Claudia on May 2, 2026. She grew up in a household with strict military discipline. This environment gave her a sense of safety. But I learned that her father’s rules were often harder for her than for her brother. I shifted the focus to narcotrafficking. Claudia visited a base in the Amazon and saw gangs take dvantage of poor people. We also addressed migration from Venezuela. She suggests the high number of arrivals overwhelmed institutions. This likely created more street crime and social friction. Finally, I discussed cyber security. Her father warns that digital threats can lead to physical danger. He tells her to keep her digital life private. She did not give me much information about this topic. Also, the corruption topic arose. She assured me there was not much corruption in Peru, in every country corruption takes place.
